The relaxing vibe of Stockholm

17.11.2020.

It was a short visit of 5 days but Stockholm totally got my heart. I’m always dreaming to go back and explore the archipelago but somehow didn’t. The bright Sun in the winter days made me so lucky. Even if you think of getting lost, just visit the island Djurgården with all the museums. You will be enchanted.

Easily walkable with the colourful streets and lakes that make locals pretty brave to jump in the winter Stockholm is one of the most awesome cities to visit.

Island Djurgården

This royal park is known by its tranquility and many museums. Located at the central Stockholm island Djurgården is one of the favourite places of the locals.

Abba museum, Vasa museum dedicated to the maritime history, Skansen museum as one of the largest open-air museum. Let’s explain it more.

Gröna Land is the impressive amusement park.

Abba museum is definitely a place to visit as let us realise who didn’t listen to Abba, the popular swedish band. Though ancient and legendary, it was awesome to realise that members of Abba are still alive. Even the local address of Abba members is written in the local newspapers. You will get the authentic feeling of the musique once listened at Eurovision, of the way the Abba members grew and made their career.

Skansen museum is the museum dedicated to swedish history including also the zoo and traditional crafts. Traditional local houses are filled with the authentic spirit and I even tried some Christmass cookies and got the recipes during my December trip.

Rosendals Trädgård

The history of gardening is beautifully depicted and you can also enjoy more than 100 species of roses.

Isbladskärret is a small lake rich with bird species.

The centre of Stockholm or Gamla stan is easily walkable area with colourful houses and charming feeling full of history and authentic magic. The cobblestone streets just invite to discover its cultural side. The hilltop views will drag you to Stockholm’s marina giving even more magic as there’s nothing but islands in Stockholm.

Fika- the traditional desert with cinnamon

Ekero island is the perfect place if you’re looking the relaxed atmosphere enpowered with elegant, royal feeling of Palace.

Stockholm is full of lakes that locals enjoy even in winter. It was such a powerful feeling to walk on a frozen one during winter seeing church equiped as a tent inside the park and getting the true spiritual feeling.

All in all

The relaxing vibe of Stockholm can indeed be found everywhere. The city made of islands, doesn’t this sound attractive alone? Besides, the Stockholm metro stations are so colourful and artistic, the feast to the eye.

The city made of islands, doesn't it sound attractive? The another plus is its archipelago. Colourful streets and awesome museums, lakes to enjoy even in winter- that's what makes Stockholm alive. #stockholm#discoverarchipelago#museumcity#relaxingvibe

Wow what a beautiful city. It must be fabulous at Christmas. Can you skate on the frozen lakes? I’ve always wanted to do that!

You enjoyed so many beautiful experiences in only 5 days – it’s quite impressive. Stockholm sounds like a great winter destination (you had me at “Bright sun in the winter days”! I’d love to check out the birds at Isbladskärret – have developed a huge appreciation for the little guys since lockdown!
