With spring on the doors, your photo ideas will also start to bloom. Discovering your creativity becomes inevitable as flowers unveil their colours on picturesque meadows, gardens or fields.
The outdoor fun gets the fantastic face of spicing up our lives in spring when promise of new life fills up the soul. Why don’t challenge yourself to get the best memories with pretty petals, cherry blossoms and enchanting colours?
1. Cherry blossoms
You don’t have to travel to Paris to shoot the fantastic blossoms, though I was enchanted to explore Paris during wisteria season. Even if you don’t have it many at your place, spring photography requires good framing and- voila!
Cherry blossoms are marvelous in its details and the way you picture its beauty. Your poses and outfits add to the charm of the pretty blossoms.
Ideal for picturing the portraits, you can play with flowers in your hair, lovely hats or similar. With the soft pink vibes, you won’t lack the ideas to memorize this spring. The abundance of petals will give you a reason to throw them in the air, make a heart-framing or hide between them.
As the spring unveils its shine, try to capture its allure to discover your creativity. Having the cherry blossoms in the cadre, you’ll have the perfect chance to find new angles, perspectives and details.

2. Flower fields
Travelling to the famous tulip fields of Keukenhof is not necessary for impressive photos as spring is full of ideas. Flower fields are all around you from the magnificent canola fields to the stunning poppies and lavender charms. Even the wildflowers offer a bunch of photo sparkles in your eyes so let yourself be spontaneous and ready.
My dream is to capture the beautiful sunflowers, though I have it near my home.
When the first saffrons wake up, you’ll get the inspiration to find the best hiking trails. Nature is full of awesome flower fields and it’s your chance to bring to surface all its fantastic views. Whether it’s the incredible landscape or irresistible colours, flower fields burst with choice.

3. Reading a book
Reading a book can add to some kind of exquisite feeling like in the novels. With a touch of relaxation, you’ll bring the charm of soft vibes.

4. Fancy umbrellas
Getting into fashion and becoming famous on Instagram, fancy umbrellas play a pivotal part in spring photography. Looking so elegant, their lacy design will take you to medieval times.
With fancy umbrellas, there’s a treasure of photo opportunities. You can blend it with pretty baskets, picnic equipment or flower bouquets. Or stay in the simple allure of the lovely blooms in different ways.

5. Experimenting with mirrors
Mirrors can be so fun to experiment with photos and create miraculous effects. Even the small mirrors can give an elegant atmosphere and perfectly blend with flowers.
6. Try spring picnic
Though picnic photos require a bit more engagement, they provide a fantastic ambiance. Creating a picturesque scene is thus possible anywhere when creativity rolls on.
Being so popular on Instagram, picnic shots create the feeling of home. Even if it’s the most simple one, capturing a picnic will reward you with an incredible attention. All you need is a basket, flowers and some plates.
7. Spring indoor ideas
Your home is your temple and inspiring its coziness with floral design is the best kind of design. Even if you’re not using your home for photo shooting, flowers bring the spiring of incredible charm.
During the Covid time, lovely indoor photos flood Instagram. What I love about it is the photo inspiration I gained and that’s the immense benefit of Instagram for me.
Creating floral letters or images like these baloons will immerse your skills towards the professional photographer. Sometimes all you need is a bouquet and nice chair or even ladder to make your photos live.
Wouldn’t be fun to make a flower wall, enjoy a floral bath or just bring some vases and decorate your hair?
Why don’t you play with the picture frames and put yourself inside with the floral charm? Or bring it into your garden and create simple photo details.

8. Flowers and rain
The most marvelous flower photos I got happened during my visit to Lago Maggiore. On these rainy days the flowers were shining like diamonds, sparkling my days.
Playing with the water as if rain is showering unveils the fun (if you have your own bottles). You can also make stunning portraits, where flowers have the main role.

9. Yoga & flowers
Yoga poses are always so inspiring where wonderful vibes of serenity flow. With yoga poses you can be so creative and transmit powerful messages and deeper meaning.
Seeing yoga and flowers will open your heart into the world of possibilities. Most commonly, we link yoga with animal postures and nature scenes. Blending yoga in such atmosphere will give you additional benefits, just like yoga for hiking.
10. Visit the spring festivals
Uplifting your mood, from the most local festivities to the large celebrations you cannot lack. I was surprised to find the wonderful colouring palette filled with flowers in Lipik, close to my hometown. Though I haven’t been in epic Keukenhof ceremony, Madeira Flower Festival has been an awesome reason to visit the island.
At the beginning of February, Chiang Mail bursts with colours and I had an honour to visit.
From the European festivals, except Keukenhof and Madeira, it’s marvelous to visit some of the mentioned further. Girona Temps de Flors hosts amazing installations in this medieval city every May. Hampton Court Garden Festival in London’s Royal Palace is a sensational greeting to spring. The Battle of Flowers in Valencia happens in July when everybody throws flowers on each other. As Bulgaria has one of the largest rose production, in June it hosts an amazing Rose Festival.

Tips to get the prettiest spring photos
First in focus when deciding to improve your nature photos is the composition. Frame your photos where arches, doorways and petals define the charm of spring.
Playing with the depth will let the landscape sets the various scenes. Having a blurry background is an alluring advantage with the lower aperture of your camera.
Looking for different angles gives your spring scene a fresh ambiance. As the perspective changes, your photos get more creative options.
Keep it simple and don’t make a jungle of your photos, even the wonderful field of flowers is enough. What will make your photos incredibly dramatic are the reflections. Not only the picturesque lakes bring the charm, but the tree shadows or mirrors that you can install.
Final thoughts
Spring season is a fantastic celebration of new beginnings so catch the best of it with your photos. There’s no shortage of photo opportunities with wonderful blooms and colours. Though the rain can sometimes challenge you, be creative enough to bring the best of your own spring photo ideas.
