Itโs a conference that unites digital nomads and remote workers all over the world. Here we come to the basis of any successful business and means creating deeper connections.
Covering not only the business topics, we had a chance to learn about the money wounds and relationship issues. The wide range of entrepreneurs shares their experiences that will make you wonder to succeed also. Though itโs not easy, a clear vision is essential.
After years of trials, this conference gave me a deep insight into my potentialities and a decent way of growing your business.
And again, itโs not easy as it seems but open your eyes and surround yourself with like-minded people.
The all-inclusive ticket comes up with access to the entire conference, 4 meals on board, shared or private cabin. On this cruise drinks shape the separate packages.
Nomad Cruise was also an opportunity to find out about other nomad events.
Is the cruise only for nomads?
Most of the people that join the Nomad Cruise are โwanna be nomadsโ which all depends on the working requirements. Itโs so precious that youโre can come with your friends and family along.
Anyhow, not only people who attend the conference fill the boat as you can see many regular cruisers. These might be either the Brazilian families or people in the vacation mode.
The origins of the Nomad Cruise
In November 2015 the first Cruise came on the surface of the nomadic life as the idea of Johannes Voelkner. The older boat was back then in the function covering smaller number of people.
Occasionally, European cruises happen within a similar frame.

The social media topics will pave your path to serious engagement considering Instagram and Linkedin. One of the best workshops was one about free publicity from the journalistโs perspective. As a travel blogger, having a deeper insight into HARO was so precious.
Investments of all kinds will shake up the real estate business, crypto and various passive income.
Not only you will hear how to choose your remote job or even a VA business, but the dark side of the digital nomadism.
Beyond the official program
At Nomad Cruise everybody gets the chance to shine up, teach and connect in the Unconference program. In this way getting busy is unavoidable and prepares you to take the conference spirit in the world.
Between the talks and workshops, we had a short pause for lunch from 12-13h, but itโs up to you to choose even later to go.
The pool fun, sport your way or just enjoying the cruise- Iโll talk about that later.
The relaxing vibe of the evenings starts with the stylish dinner around 19h. I would say that it was the most social moment of the conference and a chance to meet fellow travellers.
Around 21,30 weโre ready to kick up the evening in a fun way before the occassional parties. From pitches (to the unconference session), karaoke, story night and youโll be surprised with a Speed date. As the sugar at the end, the Talent show in the Theatre follows the shine. Inspiring everyone with your own business ideas in the lovely Piranha Tank is another creative delight.
About the parties at Nomad Cruise
Though Iโm not eager about the parties being more of an early bird, itโs fantastic to see how it flows. Even if weโre only singing at the top of the ship.
The Inner Guru Party was definitely the most inviting for me, but I expected something more fulfilling. Finally, it was all about the music.
The 90-s party is the one that bursted as ideal with lot of fun. The neon party comes as a surprise, though the most fulfilling was just to hang around with inspiring people.
The digital detox is truly precious
Digital detox is something we all find truly recharging in order to receive more energetic flow of life. Mostly I link it with nature trips and hiking meetings so the amusing cruise was a totally new experience.
I mean, being without wifi for 9 days is totally unimaginable for most of us. The wifi at the Nomad Cruise was possible under additional charge (only wpp or all included). The reason to this privilege is its expensiveness that comes from the satelite.
Being surrounded by the cheerful vibes and a dynamic programme is enough to get the most from the cruise.
Before and after the Nomad Cruise
โThe cruise is just the beginningโ is the adorable motto of the Nomad Cruise. In fact, youโll hardly feel alone after the decision to join this incredible event.
On the cruise itself sometimes youโll feel like you have no one to talk with or share a dinner. Like smaller groups prevail that you donโt fit in. Thatโs what some of the speakers lightened up as the invisible obstacles and totally normal to feel.
As some of my fellow cruisers said, I better remember the people before the cruise. All others came all the once. Apparently.
The name tags on the cruise and bracelets keep us engaged in the community vibe until we leave the continent.
Tenerife meetings
On Tenerife, we had several preunion meetings that were a smooth introduction to the cruise. Most of us didnโt explore the whole island and I focused on the northern part instead.
Santa Cruz offered the awesome views at the rooftop bar unveiling our expectations to the cruise adventure. Telegram group created incredible guidelines under the shelter of several sub-groups.
La Teresitas Beach, its cocktails and drinks glorified the tropical enthusiasm.
The lively atmosphere of Santa Cruz framed our farewell at the local concert the last day before leaving.
It was even funny to see so many nomads at my hostels and truly, youโll never have time to feel alone.

Brazil meetings
Everyone goes its way, some leave the continent straight away and some absorb the Brazilian vibe. It would be pity to miss fascinating Rio, though with Nomad Cruise we get so much more of Brazilian culture.
During the cruise we had two stops, in Fortaleza and Maceio until our final destination- Salvador.
I decided to follow the reunion panorama like most of us. Salvador was a fun helm for the start and our fellow cruisers were appearing just around every corner.
Morro de Sao Paolo with only 2h catamaran ride from Salvador is a fabulous next destination.
Of course, Christmas and New Yearโs in Rio are signed as such.
About Costa Diadema- the ship that hosts the Nomad Cruise 2023
Costa Diadema is an Italian ship that starts this Brazilian journey in the north of Europe and ends in Santos. This fabulous ship is a city of its own and provides a home for more than 2000 travellers.
Making jokes of being in the spaceship with the card that allows you everything was a fantastic realization. Letโs add that we even got a t-shirt and a bag, in case we donโt have what to wear.
Joke on the side, with 14 floors thereโs all kinds of fun to expect and many ways to chill.
The buffet restaurant offers free 4 time meals (all included) while we enjoyed an elegant dinner a a la card (included). Beyond this, youโll be tempted to try an authentic Italian pizzeria, awesome gelateria, Japanese restaurant and even burgers. Can you believe that they make mozzarella on board?
Awesome boat program
As as I said, you donโt have time to feel bored. Costa app will tell you everything thatโs going on the ship and you can even chat with other cruisers.
What I missed the most is the movement and even the walking trail didnโt help. Except for the gym, experience the volleyball with the net that doesnโt allow you to hit high. Tennis, basketball and volleyball field- all in one.
Unfortunately, I was too lazy to try any jacuzzi.
Even if you donโt use spa facilities, youโll get a chance for a free tour.
The cruise even opened my urge to dance so Iโll learned bolero (or bachata)- the ancient Brazilian dance.
Not only you will get a rich animation program, but a chance to learn Italian and play games (musical, pictionary etc).
The party was always present and the most fun was the White Night (everybody dressed in white).
How to improve the Nomad Cruise
In overall, Nomad Cruise will pack you with encouragement to do everything to improve and succeed in your business. The most important fact is the community that conquers your creativity and organic flow of energy.
Though some speaches were lacking the deepness, some of them provided incredible guidance in the pure simplicity. The creativity in which people provide value is unparalleled and so easy to relate when starting from zero. The community that motivates you to open your eyes and share your ideas resonates with the true quality that flourishes.
The main disadvantage of the Nomad Cruise is the fact that speakers need to pay for the conference. Those who create the program and make it valuable donโt get any discount or payment. I would personally appreciate the more expensive conference considering this.
Why you should attend Nomad Cruise after all?
As it unveils life in the bubble, Nomad Cruise is a fantastic opportunity to absorb the values of remote jobs. Learning and connecting with fellow cruisers is a way to define success from scratch.
Though most appropriate for the beginner nomads, the cruise has an incredible social impact and new flow of creativity. People who join year after year are enthusiastic about the benefits that the off beaten path brings. The productivity of their business comes in the close relation with the social aspect.
New travel destinations envolve into the design of the Nomad Cruise, something you wouldnโt think of otherwise.
