Blogging is a journey, a journey towards self-discovery.
When I say progress in the title, this includes monetization of my blog. Progress also alludes to the deeper level of blogging and having more detailed content.
4 years still sound unbelievable but glorious dreams stand behind them.
Blogging enriched my life in numerous ways (beyond money) and it helped me become more secure about my goals. Writing and photography shine in the essence so I’ll talk about that later.

How to monetize your blog
I’ll tell you a secret: I’m still not earning any money of my blog.
The important fact is that I discovered a way to monetize my blog. Introduced to Ezoic by my blogging friend, I intuitionally felt that it’s a way to become a full-time blogger. Ezoic is a best platform to put ads on the blog and make money out of it for beginners. It’s not only a monetizing platform, it gives a way to improve the quality of your blog. I’m not saying this as an affiliate of Ezoic, though you would also join seeing the benefits.
So you say, a number of followers matters? With Ezoic it’s important to focus on followers from high-standard countries. In only a few months I still have a few dollars, but I bring the struggle forward to improve my blog and make it work. I work constantly on SEO within every post, on guest posting and collaborations with other bloggers. Better would be to say working smart, than hard.
The benefits of Ezoic
I’m still in experimenting mode but Ezoic is promising so much.
The most benevolent part is that you can join Ezoic even if you don’t have 10000 views at the website.
The crucial advantage of Ezoic is that it combines the different sizes and positions of ads. It’s automatic so it tests what gives you the best results.
Ezoic features detailed analytics, which helps to monetize your content.
The control of Ezoic ads is in your hands. You specify the number of ads, colour and design. Ezoic helps you with SEO (which is the primary key to get visitors). SEO will boost your content to become more visible on Google and you should take care about the quality. In this way, your content becomes more professional and improved.
Ezoic utilizes video ads through Humix, which counts to the bigger revenue. If you join the Premium Ezoic (by invitation only), your revenue garantially grows.
Finally, the support is quite large, unlike Google AdSense.
Ezoic vs Google AdSense
Ezoic doesn’t depend on Google AdSense, though I simultaneously opened the profiles on both.
If you have less than 10 000 pageviews a month, Ezoic welcomes you to join. You will be integrated through Access Now program, which offers a couple of educational courses. Ezoic has plenty more educational courses.
Ezoic covers a rich support system and Google AdSense has no support at all.
Many publishers have the experience to earn more with Ezoic than Google AdSense. The main reason for that is the optimization of the ads at Ezoic.
You can also link your Ezoic account with Google AdSense.
Analytics of Ezoic works in a pretty detailed manner, giving you the chance to improve your SEO. AdSense doesn’t offer this opportunity.
The essence of dreams
Definitely, I should not compare with my fellow bloggers and continue fulfilling the deepest goals.
As much as it can be tricky, dreams are your invitation to true success. No matter how you measure it, blogging involves creating a business and making money out of it.
After 4 years, I still need to focus on SEO and traffic, As much as it is time-consuming, the organic traffic (that which happens naturally) brings the best results.
Writing unveils the doors of the blogging world, the educational idea to show your perspective of the world. Not your own world, but the idea of travel.
Several months I was writing for Yoair, a blog dedicated to anthropology, travel, history and current events. It brushed my skills and brought SEO closer to the practical vision.
Dreams & people that inspire
Take a look at the current World Cup, such an enthusiasm and unity that football created! Definitely, something you wish to last forever. One small country like Croatia became popular by football.
When travelling to Indonesia, locals didn’t know about Croatia until mentioning Modrić. The country that goes twice in a row in semi-finale, certainly deserved that to happen. The match becomes incredible because their actors go for those dreams with all their hearts. That’s why everything changes so quickly.
Dreams are the way to live. Even if you want to give up, they encourage you, just like the dear people around you. Becoming successful is much easier with a clear goal in mind, with step-by-step little goals.

How do I imagine my blog after 1 year
Though I opened my Etsy shop without any progress, I still want to fulfill my photography dreams. When I shot with my tripod on the street, many people already asked if I’m a professional photographer.
Personality gives the crucial touch of excellent photography, it invites people to make their own artworks.
Working with brands is also something I would like to experience. It cannot be my primary occupation as it doesn’t make you independent. It opens the courage to try new things and promotes the value.
I’m taking the challenge on the way to full-time blogger and Ezoic is the first step. Ezoic is the main tool for most bloggers to gain the highest earnings.
Definitely, I see that my dreams will get their throne.
Final thoughts
Reaching 4 years of blogging is a success by itself. Having a profitable blog doesn’t happen by night, but includes a comprehensive vision that depends on continuity.
The lessons I learned managed to keep this blog alive and one of the most important is: Don’t compare yourself to others.
Providing valuable content brings down a question: Who is your ideal reader?
As much as I want to share the great outdoors, I’m limited which months to visit and weather conditions. Still, I’m not a full-time blogger, but I’m sincerely leading my efforts towards this vision.
The purpose is the essence of blogging, it is the key reason that brings visitors.

I used to love Ezoic but it was so awkward for me to set up in the end that I completely give up. That was this time last year. Prior to 2020 I was making good money from them – but alas I changed my theme in 2020 and it was incompatable.
Now I just make money from writing jobs but I would LOVE to use it again if I could figure out how.
