Visiting the beautiful beaches in Europe blends perfectly with the beach bars full of charm. Fulfilling your summer bucket list gives you an entire new way to relax. Feeling totally exotic in the lovely beach bar will spice up your European journey.

Wheather youโ€™re seeking a fantastic party or just enjoying a wonderful ambience or decor, widen your vacation ideas. From the hippy vibes of Ibiza to the elegant Mykonos, youโ€™ll be spoiled with choice. The enticing island Hvar in Croatia is an unmissable place to visit.

I collaborated with nearly 20 amazing bloggers to give you original ideas and inspire a seaside bliss. These unique beach bars might be your reason to visit a certain island or destination.

CROATIA

Carpe Diem Beach Bar, island Hvar, Croatia- contributed by myself

Island Hvar is famous in Croatia and amazes by its pretty historical towns and turqouise waters. Croatian island known by the vibrant nightlife and charming atmosphere squeezes this energy in the lovely Hvar town. Nestled at Pakleni Islands, Carpe Diem Beach Bar is an excellent day trip from the Hvar town.

Upon arriving in Carpe Diem, it might seem that itโ€™s the only attraction at the island. Feeling so isolated, Carpe Diem gives a perfect sense of tranquility. Carpe Diem is situated at Stipanska Bay, giving a sense of luxury.

You will be delighted to consume a drink, which is obligatory to enter the Club. The prices are not too expensive for the coffee and food is served at the plates having a boat shape.

The seaside swing will welcome you before entering the Club and inspiring quotes. The daytime is mostly quiet so you can enjoy awesome decorations.

How to reach & where to stay

Pakleni islands particularly enjoy the beauty of the enchanting and clear beaches. Lying just across the Hvar town, Pakleni islands consist of 14 island and islets. Marinkovac, as the largest one, is home to the gorgeous Mlini beach on one side and Carpe Diem Club on the other. Carpe Diem is open only seasonaly, from May to the late September.

You can easily reach Carpe Diem Beach Club by the boat from central Hvar. It goes every hour and price is 10โ‚ฌ.

If youโ€™re staying in Hvar town, I recommend Amfora Hvar Grand Beach Resort in the quiet bay. For budget travellers, the best option would be White Rabbit Hostelโ€“ cozy rooms in the pure centre.

Lovely village of Vrboska offers the awesome hotel Labranda Senses Resort. In Stari Grad you can stay either in Places Hotel by Valamar or the adjacent eco villas Valamar Amicor Green Resort.

Hula Hula Beach Bar, Island Hvar- contributed by Olivia MacDonald from Defining Decade

Hula Hula Hvar Beach Club is an absolute must-visit when youโ€™re in Hvar. This renowned beach club, conveniently situated within a leisurely stroll from the heart of Hvar, is every beach loverโ€™s paradise. Its design, carefully crafted to blend with the rocky seaside, offers an open, inviting ambiance that is always pulsating with energy. From sun-drenched days to sultry nights, thereโ€™s a rhythm to the place. Relax in a sunbed or at a VIP table while you soak up the sun and sway gently to the chill-out music during the day. An open-air massage pavilion adds to the beachside bliss, and if youโ€™re up for some water fun, kayaks and paddleboards are ready from as early as 8 a.m. with free instruction and safety gear. As the sun dips below the horizon, the vibe transforms.

Hula Hula Beach Bar during the nighttime

The sunset at Hula Hula is an experience in itself, setting the stage for an electrifying evening. The DJ starts spinning tracks that get everyone on their feet, making it the perfect spot to revel in the after-beach atmosphere. Though the food is fairly standard and expensive, featuring finger food, hamburgers, pasta, and more, the cocktails are a delight. Remember, itโ€™s a cash-only, but there are ATMs close by if you forget! While it may not be ideal for families with kids, Hula Hula Hvar Beach Club definitely promises a great time.

Zeppelin Beach Bar and Lounge in Pula- contributed by Adriana from Wanderlicious

Zeppelinย Beachย Bar and Lounge in Pulaย is a vibrant and cheerful beach bar in Croatia, decorated with straw umbrella and, rustic woodenย chairsย and loungers. An excellent view of the stunningly blue, cerulean blue waters that line the Croatian coast enriches the vibe.

Thereโ€™sย plenty of room for everyone so youโ€™ll not regret a visit here. You can either sunbathing on the rocky outcrops that jut into the sea or sit in the shade under one of the rustic umbrellas.

As for the bar itself, it makes delicious cocktails and mocktails, and they have an excellent wineย selection. But what really stands out in this bar is the incredible activities that come with it; book onto one of the many water sports that they offer, including tube rides, jet skis, parasailing and an aqua park. Fun for big and small kids alike.

About Pula, how to reach Zeppelin Beach Bar & where to stay

Pula is an underrated city with an incredibly rich history and stunning Roman ruins, a fullย colosseumย that most people are unaware is a testimony od this fact. The delicious Croatian food will be your loyal company.

Zeppelinย Beachย Bar and Loungeย isย locatedย just outside the cityย centreย and you can walk here or get a short taxi ride to this spot.

Coral Beach Club, Dubrovnik- contributed by Martina from the PlacesofJuma

The Coral Beach Club in Dubrovnik is undoubtedly one of the coolest beach bars in Europe. A visit to it is a must on any trip to southern Croatia. This exceptionally beautiful beach bar is characterized by its wonderful ambience and many wooden elements. The breathtaking location directly on the turquoise sea and surrounded by Mediterranean beauty is unique. The ambience is absolutely chic and yet this beach club is very affordable!

The Coral Beach Club bar offers a wide range of refreshing drinks, from cool cocktails to local wines, which are served to guests while they enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. There are also high quality shishas with a variety of exotic flavors.

What to expect & where to stay in Dubrovnik

There is no entrance fee to Coral Beach Club, but you do pay to rent the comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas to relax and sunbathe. A visit to the bar is free. excellent value for the quality and environment offered is simply unbeatable. A real highlight is the wonderful pebble beach, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. If you like, you can also visit the Coral Beach Spa area and treat yourself to a remarkable massage.

If you are searching for a great place to stay nearby, I recommend the โ€œHotel Dubrovnik Palaceโ€œ, which boasts a prime location and first-class amenities. It is one of theย best luxury hotels in Dubrovnikย and offers stunning sea views, spacious rooms and excellent service to make your stay an unforgettable experience.

ITALY

Ocean Bar Positano- contributed by Tori from Tori Pines Travels

Located in the most charming town, Ocean Bar in Positano is one of the most stunning beach bars in Europe. Positano, Italy is the picture-perfect town on the famous Amalfi Coast. The beach itself is beautiful, but what really makes it stand out is the backdrop. With the multicolored houses stacked on the side of the mountain, thereโ€™s no better place to enjoy a drink.

The Ocean Bar sits directly on the sand of Positanoโ€™s main beach, Spiaggia Grande. You can enjoy a drink with your toes in the sand as you watch the sunset over the breathtaking mountains. Youโ€™ll come for the view and ambiance, but youโ€™ll stay for the hospitality and delicious drinks!

The elegant atmosphere of the Ocean Bar Positano- Credit: Wheretogoin.net

What to order & where to stay

Italy is known for their Spritz, which are served all over the country. But the Amalfi Coast is known for their lemon production, so the special drink here is a limoncello spritz. So grab a spot in the sand and order this classic drink. Itโ€™s sour and sweet and super refreshing.
While youโ€™re in town, spend time on the beach, head to a beach club, or shop in the boutiques. Or, for an all day experience. Take aย day trip from Positano to Capri. Plan to stay the night in town atย Alcione Residenceย for a relaxing stay with picture perfect Positano views.

SPAIN

Nikki Beach Bar, Marbella- contributed by Joanna from Andalucia In My Pocket

Nikki Beach Bar is one of the most famous beach bars in Marbella. It is known for the epic parties that it throws every summer, but also for the chilled atmosphere during the day. Nikki Beach is composed of the beach club with a swimming pool, cabanas, a champagne terrace, an award winning restaurant, as well as the night club. During the summer evenings you will find some of the best DJs performing at Nikki Beach.

Spending time at Nikki Beach makesย Marbella worth visiting, due to its exclusive atmosphere. People fly from all over the world to come and party here, especially for the annual White Party. During this time, itโ€™s not unusual to bump into celebrities at Nikki Beach.ย

Nikki Beach Bar, Marbella

About prices, how to reach & where to stay

It is good to know that whilst children are allowed on the beach, they are not permitted into the pool or the beach club itself, which are adult only. The prices at Nikki Beach are not for people on a budget. A bed booked in advance costs 50 euros, whilst last minute can go as high as 400 euros. You can however spend the entire day here, as the restaurant on site serves great dishes. The beach club also has a dress code, which you must respect outside of the beach and pool areas.

You can get to Nikki Beach by bus, by car, or by taxi. From the centre of Marbella, is costs around 30 euros in a taxi to get here. The bus costs 2 euros. Nearby, you can stay at the Marbella Beach Resort, which is within walking distance from Nikki Beach.

La Palapa Beach Bar, Torremolinos- contributed by Cristina from My Little World of Travelling

If you are looking for a beautiful beach bar in Costa del Sol, La Palapa Beach is an excellent option.

It is in the coastal town of Torremolinos, not far from Malaga-Costa del Sol Aiport (AGP).

This beach bar is decorated with wooden elements and palm trees that make you feel somewhere tropical.

It is very picturesque, and it has even swings perfect for photos.

You can turn up and enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner without reservation.

But you might want to book a table to avoid any disappointments.

Their menu includes anything from refreshing smoothies and salads to burgers and stir-fries.

Food prices range between 10 and 20 euros per dish.

Another option is to rent a Balinese bed for a few hours or a full day.

Soak up the sun, have delicious food and enjoy the chillout music.

La Palapa Beach Bar & lovely swing in Torremolinos

What to do in Torremolinos & where to stay

Once you have enjoyed your half or full day at La Palapa Beach, you can explore Torremolinos.

One of theย best things to do in Torremolinosย is to visit Casa de Los Navajas, a former residential palace with Mudejar architecture.

You can also visit the beautiful park called Parque de la Baterรญa.

Meliรก Costa del Sol is a good option if you are looking for hotels in Torremolinos.

The hotel is on the beachfront and has lovely rooms with balconies overlooking the sea.

Sal Mar, Barcelona- contributed by Adriana from Wanderlicious

Sal Mar is the perfect beach bar in Barcelona, complete with delicious cocktails and boho dรฉcor. An excellent view of Barcelona beach enriches the atmosphere. Barcelona is the city that has it all: an incredibly rich history, stunning museums, unusual architecture thanks to Gaudi.

As for the bar itself, it makes delicious,ย mouth wateringย cocktails (and mocktails too, if you like it) costing around 6EUR on those scorching hot days that are so frequent in Barcelona. And ifย youโ€™reย a bit peckish, they serve tapas and Mediterranean food to go with your drinks. Make sure you order the Bruschetta,ย itโ€™sย delightful, fresh,ย crispย and crunchy too.

How to reach & where to stay

As itโ€™sย locatedย on the seaside,ย thereโ€™sย plenty of sunbathing and relaxing in the azure waters. Nestledย right next to the outdoor public gym, it reminiscense of Venice Beach in the US. Sal Mar is thus the perfect place for people watching (and gymย buddyย watching). It also has the incredible view of the famous W hotel and Barcelonaโ€™sย shores,ย it isย definitely recommendedย to stay here.

Head straight to Barcelona beach and walk up the coast until you hit Sal Mar, nearest metro is Barceloneta! Enjoy.ย

Monkey Beach Club, Tenerife- contributed by Alexandra from Tenerife-is.com

The Monkey Beach Club in Tenerife is a place you wonโ€™t want to miss if you visit Tenerife. The vibe there is electric! The place is buzzing with energy, thanks to the lively music, fantastic entertainment, and a super-friendly staff.ย

During the day, you can relax in the Monkey Beach Club with a cocktail in your hand enjoying amazing ocean views. And in the evening, this place turns into a real club! Are you a party enthusiast? Because Monkey Beach Club hosts some of the best beach parties in Tenerife.

Dancing, socializing, and making unforgettable memories โ€“ thatโ€™s what itโ€™s all about.

Monkey Beach Clubโ€™s decor is also a unique sight to behold. Colorful and eccentric art pieces everywhere โ€“ itโ€™s like an Instagram paradise!ย ย

But what really makes Monkey Beach Club special is the overall experience. Itโ€™s a fantastic blend of relaxation, entertainment, and just pure fun.ย ย

The lovely entrance to the Monkey Beach Club in Tenerife

What to order

Now, letโ€™s talk about food and drinks. Their menu is a culinary adventure. You can go for fresh seafood, try out some local Canarian dishes, or opt for international cuisine. And oh, their signature cocktails are to die for! And the good news, this place is quite affordable. You can get a Monkey Burger for 14 euros, Poke Bowl of Salmon for 15 euros, chicken quesadillas for 10 euros, Monkey cocktail for 7 euros and lots of other cool cocktails for 7-8 euros.ย

How to reach & where to stay

The location is absolutely stunning! Itโ€™s right by theย Playa de las Amรฉricas beach, so youโ€™ve got this soothing sound of waves all day long. Perfect for those chill moments. Tenerife is famous for its sunsets, and this place offers front-row seats to that daily spectacle. Itโ€™s incredibly romantic or just plain beautiful, depending on your mood.

Nearby there is a nice hotel Alexandre Hotel Troya with a huge swimming pool, modern rooms and amazing ocean views.ย

If you are looking for an Adults Only Hotel, then check out Vanilla Garden Boutique Hotel. There you can truly relax after a party at the Monkey Beach Club.ย

PORTUGAL

Lindaโ€™s Beach Bar, Lagos- contributed by Campbell from the Algarve Family

Lagos is a beautiful, authentic beach town in the Algarve region of Portugal. Surrounded by a variety of stunning beaches, relaxing at the ocean is very popular here.ย

Lindaยดs Beach Barย is locatedย on Sao Roque Beach, a part of the renowned Meia Praia Beach. The laidback bar restaurant is a very popular spot for a drink or to eat some of the famous Algarve seafood. Meia Praia is the longest beach in Lagos with 4.5 kilometers of perfect soft sand. This is a safe, calm beach with lifeguards on duty in season. Sunbathing is very popular here and beach chairs and umbrellas are available to rent. With the right conditions surfing in Meia Praia is really good.

Food prices vary between EUR 10 and 15 for a main course. They serve fresh seafood and a range of dishes from beef and burgers to vegetarian dishes.

How to reach & where to stay

Lindaยดs is located right on the beach and you can actually get a seat on the sand! When you get out of the ocean this is a very nice spot to get a drink or a meal. Meia Praia is a goodย place to stay in Lagos. It is located close to the beach, the train station, and the popular Lagos Marina.ย

Adamastor, Praia Parede- contributed by Jennifer from the Family Trip Guides

After living along the Portuguese coast for a while, I can say that the Adamastor Bar in Parede, Portugal, is our favorite beach bar! It is perched along the stunning coastline of the Lisbon District. With its breathtaking oceanfront location, this beachside bar offers a relaxed vibe, great beer and cocktails, and the best sunset views.

My favorite part is the barโ€™s open-air terrace which lets you sip your refreshing cocktails while looking straight out and down to the ocean. Beers range from 2-5 euros, cocktails from 4 โ€“ 8 euros, and dishes are between 9 and 15 euros. Our family loves the eclectic menu including Portuguese fresh seafood, Asian fusion food, tapas (aka petiscos). The ambiance at Adamastor Bar is both welcoming and laid-back, making it an ideal destination for locals and tourists seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. One time we went there was a great live DJ!

How to reach & where to stay

You can get to Adamastor Praia Parede easily by car from Lisbon (25 km) or train (7-minute walk from the train station). There is a small parking lot right by the beach if you drive. It is harder to find parking later in the night so go before the sunset for the best chance. And donโ€™t forget to dip your toes into the beautiful water at the beach whether you are on aย Portugal family vacationย or a couples trip! A close hotel 5 minutes away would be the Riviera Hotel.ย

GREECE

La Grotta Beach Bar, Corfu- contributed by Tamara from My Elated Odyssey

La Grotta Bar is one of the best beach bars in Corfu, Greece. Located in the picturesque village of Paleokastritsa, La Grotta has stunning views, tasty food and refreshments, and a lively atmosphere. A striking feature that sets this beach bar apart is that it is built alongside a cliff!

While accessing the bar requires walking down 140 stairs to reach it, itโ€™s one ofย Corfuโ€™s top attractions worth visiting! The bar features a rocky beach, crystal-clear waters, and views of the lush surrounding landscape. You can even cliff jump and jump off a diving board at the bar!

The menu offers a variety of Greek cuisine, including Greek salads, spanakopita, and tzatziki, in addition to burgers and sandwiches. For beverages, youโ€™ll find coffees, smoothies, beers, cocktails, and soft drinks. You can expect to spend around โ‚ฌ20-40 euros per person on food and drinks.

What to see around & how to reach

Although you could easily spend all day at La Grotta, Paleokastritsa has more to offer. Itโ€™s home to some of Corfuโ€™s best beaches, such as Rovinia Beach and Agia Triada Beach. The Monastery of Paleokastritsa is also worth a visit because it has one of the best viewpoints of the villageโ€™s landscape and the sea.

La Grotta Bar is around a 40-50-minute drive from Corfu Town. Parking can be a challenge, and finding nearby street parking is best. If you donโ€™t rent a car, the most economical transportation method is the Corfu Green Buses, which offers plenty of daily commutes to Paleokastritsa.

Tranquilo Beach Bar & Restaurant, Santorini- contributed by Delilah from Travel Sim Expert

Perissa, located along the southeast coast of Santorini, is a gorgeous beachside town with arguably the islandโ€™s most relaxing and beautiful beach. Due to Santoriniโ€™s volcanic activity, the beach has unique, black sand and dark blue water making it a must-visit.

Youโ€™ll find sun loungers and beach bars lining the beach from end to end. Itโ€™s not hard to find somewhere to chill out, but itโ€™s worth the short walk to Tranquilo Beach Bar. Many of the beach bars along this strip range from uninspiring to outright scams. Tranquilo is a beautiful exception.

The cheerful and colourful vibes of the Tranquilo Beach Bar & Restaurant, Santorini- Credit: Underflowerysky.com

What to order

The vibe is quirky, fun and colourful with plenty of loungers, cushions and even hammocks to relax in. I recommend visiting Tranquilo for this reason alone, but if youโ€™re looking for a place to eat, the vegetarian menu here is fantastic. The brunch options are as delicious as they are beautiful, and you can find one of the best Greek salads on the island. Whether youโ€™re hungry or not, youโ€™ll definitely want to enjoy one (or many) of their cocktails on the beach.

On top of all this, the prices at Tranquilo are reasonable โ€“ at least by Santorini standards! Cocktails will set you back 12-13 EUR these days and the XL salads can easily feed two for 9.5 EUR, or you can grab a coffee for a few EUR and enjoy the vibe for less.

How to reach & where to stay

Reaching the beach from the popular towns of Fira and Oia is easy. If you have a car, then it is a quick 13km drive. If youโ€™re taking public transport then it is a short bus ride to the beach. The most recent timetable can usually be found on theย KTEL website. Just make sure to check the route before you go asย Greek Sim cardsย often have no / weak reception around the island. Another more scenic alternative is to take a taxi boat.

In terms of accommodation, Perissa is perfect for a few hours, or even a day, but Iโ€™d recommend staying in Fira or Oia. We stayed in the perfect budget hotel called Villa Ilios in Fira.

Super Paradise Beach Club, Mykonos- contributed by Soline from the On The Road Diary

Mykonos is one of the most famous and beautiful Greek islands. It has stunning small villages, white cobbled alleys, windmills, white sand beaches, incredible viewpointsโ€ฆ There are enough activities to spendย 3 days in Mykonosย or even more.

It has a unique atmosphere and always a great party vibe. It is quite relaxed during the afternoon โ€“ perfect to relax by the sea. At night, it becomes the place to be for great parties.

Most cocktails cost between 13 to 15โ‚ฌ, beers are around 5 to 8โ‚ฌ. You can also eat delicious greek appetizers, salads and tacos at around 20โ‚ฌ. Pizzas, burgers or bao are between 20โ‚ฌ to 30โ‚ฌ.

Super Paradise Beach Club, Mykonos- Credit: PlacesofJuma

How to reach & where to stay

Mykonos is also known for being a party island! You will find loads of clubs and bars on the island. One of them is the renowned Super Paradise Beach Club.ย

Super Paradise Beach Club is the hottest beach club of the island. Whether youโ€™re looking for all night beach parties, live DJ sets or just some time to relax by the crystal blue waters, theyโ€™ve got it all.

It is located in the south of the island, a 20-minute drive from Mykonos Old Town by car. You can also reach it with buses from the center.

If you wish to stay nearby, we recommend the Nimbus My Aktis.

Watering Hole at Perranporth, UK- contributed by Alex from Career Gappers

Cornwall is home to some of the UKโ€™s most stunning coastline, featuring hundreds of sandy beaches. Typical Cornish beaches are punctuated with towering rock stacks, natural pools and gaping caves.

A bar called Watering Hole stands at the heart of the beach with breathtaking views of the entire cove. The bar is a rarity because itโ€™s actually in the middle of the sand, not just overlooking it like most beachfront bars tend to be.

Itโ€™s also one of the very few UK beach bars that has live music shows. Summer weekends are bliss here. You can catch some of the UKโ€™s top DJs on the scene performing on many weekends.

During the daytime the Watering Hole is one of the best places in the area to eat. You can get awesome breakfasts from 9am, and great seafood or pub classics until 3pm. Prices range from about ยฃ8 to ยฃ22.

Watering Hole at Perranporth, UK- Credit: Perransprings.com

How to reach & where to stay

Perranporth Beach is a standout spot, with 5 kilometres of soft golden sand riddled with interesting rock formations. This is one of the best beaches in Newquay, situated just along the coast from the town that is the UKโ€™s surfing capital.

Want to stay in the area? St Georgeโ€™s Country House Hotel is a spectacular hotel less than half an hourโ€™s walk from the beach.
